Improvement Notices

Improvement Notices are served when an inspection of an Industrial Establishment is conducted based on the findings identified during the inspection.

Once served, an Improvement Notice would require the dutyholder to implement the necessary corrective action within a specific time period, as outlined within the Notice. Once satisfied, that an Improvement Notices has been complied with, a written correspondence would be sent to the dutyholder.

A person on whom a notice is served may within 7 days object via a complaint to the Industrial Court.

Failure to comply with an Improvement Notice, can result in legal proceedings being initiated against the dutyholder.
